At DRS, we consider clubs activities as part of extra-curricular activities necessary for mental development. Students are expected to be a member of one of these clubs. These clubs aim at developing each child talents, abilities and personalities to the fullest. We have different clubs such as:
JETS (Junior Engineers, Technician and Scientist) club: Students learn about art of science and technology.
Music: Students learn about voice training and use of musical instruments.
Home-makers: Different kinds of dishes are taught, bead making and home management.
Taekwondo: It is a self-defense discipline where the five rules of this activity are learnt and practiced. It increases student’s energy, better health and fitness and high self-esteem.
Drama Club: It is an essential club activity where students are able to understand their feelings and develop empathy for others. We provide theatre program to encourage our students as a means of promoting academic growth and interest in theatre arts.
Quiz & Debate: It prepares our students for internal and external examinations and train them to be constructive and logical in a designed topic which enables them to reason fast in public. It builds their intelligent quotient.
Cultural Clubs: Students learn different types of tradition from all geo-political zone in Nigeria. They are exposed to different cultures such as: Yoruba, Ibo, Huasa, Itsekiri, Nupe, etc. They learn about people, diversity and values. This helps to foster relationship amidst them.
