Welcome Address
De Revelation Schools (DRS) was established in May,2014. DRS is a school committed to providing an inclusive, caring and supportive environment where excellence and academic achievement are valued. Students are challenged to achieve their potential through rigorous programs focused on building the knowledge, skills and values for a productive life.
It is a school with long standing reputation for delivering effective teaching, learning and shaping the leaders of tomorrow. The Leadership and representational skills of students are enhanced through academic, creative and sporting pursuits. The schools regard staffs, both teaching and support, as the foundation upon which excellence in school programs is built. Staffs are enablers to better students results. Staffs are treated with consideration, have access to and pursue relevant professional development and participate in performance management.
The professional development of staff will impact on, and inform, improved classroom practice and lead to enhanced student’s outcomes.
School pedagogy:
The teaching and learning philosophy is guided by the following statements:
- Teachers know their students and vice-versa.
- Teachers know how their students learn and students know and understand how they learn.
- Teachers use a wide range of modern teaching pedagogies to engage students and maximize their learning.
- Teachers actively engage with incorporation in their profession such as integrating ICT and new approaches in teaching and learning.
- Teachers engage in performance management, classroom observation and professional development in line with their professional and personal needs.
- Teachers work collaboratively to share practice, discuss their students and promote reflective practice.
Parents are provided with opportunities to contribute to school forums, including aspects of the school’s decision making processes. The expertise that parents bring to the school’s operations and educational process is valued and actively sought. Parents are encouraged to participate in school forums such as Parents Teachers Association and its committees and contribute in other ways that enhance student’s opportunity.
